今日は、準天頂衛星「みちびき」について。
GPSレーダー探知機を買おうかなと思っている方は
見たことがあるかもしれませんが、
いったい「みちびき」って何なの？
カーナビや、GPSレーダー、携帯電話やスマートフォンまで、
いろいろな機器にGPS（グローバルポジショニングシステム）が
搭載されています。
これは、地球の周りを周っている人工衛星をつかって
位置情報を測位するシステムですが、
その人工衛星はアメリカさんの衛星なんです。
でも、人工衛星を打ち上げるのもお金がかかるし、
もう３０機くらい打ち上げたから、もう十分だと。
そうなると、今の測位精度（数十メートル）を
もっと上げる為には、自国で打ち上げるしかない。
で、打ち上げたのが「みちびき」です。
この「みちびき」は、日本のほぼ真上を周っており、
その測位精度は現在の数十メートルから数メートルに、
最終的には数センチ!! になるそうです。
残念ながら、「みちびき」対応のGPSアンテナでないと、
信号を受信できませんが、今後「みちびき」対応の
機器が増えてくるかと思いますので、
